Nigerian based and sensational Fuji artiste, Alhaji Adebisi Taye Akande, popularly known as Taye Currency, headlined the show ‘Taye Currency Live in London’ powered by the biggest promoter, Alexes Promotion Limited in London and attended by various dignitaries from Nigeria and the United Kingdom yesterday, where he narrated his London travel ban ordeal.
The sensational Fuji singer, Taye Currency performed live at The Oasis, 6 Thames Road, Barking IG11 0ZH, United Kingdom, on the 7th of March, which is the same venue where he was supposed to perform before he was banned from London many years ago.
The Fuji singer left the Nigeria shore to London where he was billed to perform but when he got to UK border, he was asked to step aside for proper investigation and interrogation, where the immigration officer investigated and accused that the fuji star had been coming to London on pretence of visit and has been working without paying tax.
According to reports, he was banned due to failure to secure a work permit visa in order to perform at a London concert years ago.
Taye currency narrating his London travel ban at the London show yesterday, revealed that he was being setted up by unknown back biters among the yorubas who does not want the success of their fellow. He revealed how pained he was but he never knew God was preparing him for a greater glory.
Within the years of his London travel ban, his son Yusuf Currency won a seat in Oyo State as a lawmaker.
Taye currency is the only Fuji artiste that resides in his state of origin, Oyo State, and he was appointed in 2019 by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde as his Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism in the state.
