Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr, is expected to be in Nigeria this week in anticipation for the The FIFA World Cup trophy tour in Lagos.
The tour that will take place in Lagos on Saturday and Sunday, will serve as a preamble for the anticipated unveiling of his squad list for the upcoming international friendlies.
Gbedu magazine reveals that according to the Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, the Franco-German Coach is expected to arrive in Nigeria before Thursday for the event. The Eagles boss left the country a few days ago, spending his time in Europe visiting Nigeria players at their various clubs.
Ibitoye also added that the Super Eagles Coach will use the World Cup tour as an avenue to unveil the list players that have been invited for the two international friendly games against Poland and Serbia later this month.
Ibitoye said, “Rohr is coming back to Nigeria before Thursday because he has been invited for the Coca Cola World Cup tour and he is going to use the opportunity to unveil his list for the two international friendly matches against Poland and Serbia this month”.
The trophy will be in Nigeria for four days, spending two days in Abuja (Wednesday and Thursday) and two days in Lagos (Friday and Saturday). Nigeria will play Poland in Warsaw on the 23rd of March and also face Serbia on March 27 in London as the Eagles prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup set for Russia
