Rapper MI Abaga Placed Nigerian Journalists Above Entertainers

Nigerian rapper, MI Abaga has revealed that Nigerian journalists are more important than artistes and celebrities.

The CEO of Chocolate city expressed his admiration for journalists, saying that they have the power to influence what happens in the entertainment industry.

Gbedu magazine reveals that he said this at a Social4Media masterclass organized by BHM and ID Africa earlier in the week, where he shared his thoughts on using social media as a communication tool.

When he was asked by a member of the audience why he is often inacessible for interviews but will react only when he is not satisfied with a written piece, the rapper said,

“Please allow me to still hold you accountable for your work. The consequences of the failure of you not doing your job has further reaching consequences.

I’m an entertainer, the consequence for me is that they’ll take me off the production line and the next guy will come.

What you say about our entertainment industry informs everything. The journalist is way more important….the least journalist is more important than the largest artiste….”
