Gbedu magazine reveals that the One Africa Show which involves the most of Africa’s notable musical artistes and others were imported into United Kingdom to perform at the SSE Arena Wembley on the 13th May, 2017; the overall show was organised by Paulo and assisted by his personal assistant, Drew Uyi.
This show is seen as the biggest indoor event in the UK so far, breaking the records of show attendees at the arena, which saw to a filled up to the brim seat capacity.
In the same vein, up to 20 artistes from Africa performed at the show. The notable artistes who made wonderful appearances at the show are; Banky W- who serves as the MC of the day and also performed on stage, AY, Tiwa Salvage, Psquare, Tekno, Olamide, Awilo, Jidenna, Sarkodie, MI and others from West African countries- Senegal, Ghana, East Africa- Congo, and South Africa; like the South African super star rapper, But the timing to each artistes performances was too short, Tiwa Salvage performed like beyoncee but was not given much time to continue the excellent performance.
Consequently, a scenerio came up as joke of the night when the singer from East Africa-Congo, Awilo was singing, he faced the DJ to Stop playing the disc, that he wanted to do something, now, afterwards, maybe he had taken something like “Gbana”, he decided to face the engineer and started communicating to him instead of the DJ.
We hope the organisers will do more better in the nearest future more importantly, taken better care for journalists at other upcoming events like this. Besides, the timing for the participation of each artistes performance was not good enough. Everyone at the event were supposed to seat down on the chair booked for the event but were carried away by the frenzy of the show, while standing up cheering and disturbing other people who already seated to enjoy the moment of the day.
