A Nigerian Professional Artist, Abiodun Olaku, is set to make record as the first Nigerian to clinch the ultimate prize at the Atlas Society Art Contest.
His work titled, Silhouettes of Labour is lined up with 20 others in the finals of the Atlas Society Art Contest themed “The Entrepreneur: Risks and Rewards”.
In a very keen contest Silhouettes of Labour by Abiodun Olaku has generated tremendous interests from Arts enthusiasts.
Gbedu magazine reveals that from a distant sixth place, the painting has caught the interest of local and international audiences with a scintillating acceptance that has earned the work the number one spot since two days after public voting was open till date.
The work, which is an oil on canvas painting captures the spirit of enterprise of many families in pursuit of subsistence in the riverine areas of Nigeria. This painting has a beautiful blend of tone and colour and has received many positive reviews globally.
A natural painter, Abiodun captures a scene at sunset that is not uncommon for and with Nigerians; the only Nigerian who qualified for the international Arts Contests seeks votes from lovers of the Arts who align with the message of the painting and the professional artistic representation.
