Horrific Leg Break In Rio Olympics: French Gymnast Suffers

French gymnast, Samir Ait Said have suffered a leg break while competing at the men gymnastics event in Rio Olympics.
Gbedu magazine reveals Samir Ait Said broke his left leg as he tried to complete his vault during the preliminaries. This is the second time he has sustained a serious injury in an Olympic year after breaking his right leg before the London games in 2012.
The 26 year old was immediately taken to the hospital while he urged on his teammates to victory.
After his surgery, the resilient Frenchman said: ‘The operation went very well, I should be back on my feet in a short time. I will go back to the training camp to encourage my friends because the competition is not over. We must all get behind the guys in general contest and the men’s gymnastic horse event. The team managed to mobilize after my fall and that cannot not have been easy. They are real fighters. Well guys, Be strong, be good, I am with you, and for all of you I sent you a big embrace, and believe me my dream of making Tokyo 2020 is still on! As soon as I’m back on my feet, believe me, I will be training and looking for Olympic gold.’
In recent time,  sportsmen and women have suffered horrific injuries due the physical nature of the games.
