“Am alive” woman alleged to have jumped into the lagoon beneath 3rd Mainland Bridge refutes rumors

Photos of a Nigerian woman who live in the UK has been circulating online as the woman who jumped into the lagoon beneath Third Mainland Bridge on Sunday.


The woman, named Boladale, has  now refuted the rumors by sharing recent photos and videos of herself via her Instagram account.  She captioned he photo: “Am alive, and I will live long on earth.”

Earlier, a Facebook user claimed the woman had jumped into Third Mainland Bridge because her husband found out  about an affair she was carrying out with a Nigerian-based  man and when he did a DNA test on all three of his kids he found out none was his.

Boladale in a recent video, revealed that she had lived in the United Kingdom (UK) for 13 years and she is a mother of three kids.
“Some of my pictures were sent viral and alledged that I drove to the 3rd Mainland Bridge and jumped into a lagoon. My pictures were mixed with the picture of another woman, linking me to the suicide.
I am alive and well. I have been traumatized with the incident and would love everyone who had read and shared the untruthful and damaging story to step backward and spare a love for me and my children”, she said.
The Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA) had advised Lagosian to discard the information been circulated, as the Agency and its stakeholders are making frantic effort to get to the root of the matter, noting that “anybody with any reliable information on any missing person should call the emergency toll free line, 112/767 or contact the nearest police station”.
