PUBLISHER’S NOTE

One thing missing in African communities is the celebration of the entertainment circuit CLICK

Dear Sir/Madam,

APPLICATION FOR ADVERTISEMENT

Gbedu Magazine International is a new and dynamic concept in entertainment publication, and we would like to seize this opportunity to invite your prestigious company to place an advert in our magazine.

Our research showed that the African community lacked proper representation within the United Kingdom and Ireland; the celebration of rich African culture, heritage, and entertainment was not publicised and our analysis of the problem revealed that there was no entertainment journal or magazine in the United Kingdom celebrating the work of artistes in the African entertainment industry.

Therefore, we developed Gbedu Magazine to cater to the needs of people, particularly those in the African community – bridging the gap in their entertainment needs.

Our mission

To publish an entertainment magazine that will continue to celebrate the culture, value and progress of the African entertainment industry; to recognise the contributions of artistes in the African entertainment industry; and to expand our scope as wide as possible, covering entertainment issues and events without fear or favour, whilst promoting excellence and value.

Our objectives

To keep readers informed and updated with the latest “happenings” and events in the entertainment world, and African entertainment in particular.

To identify and acknowledge the work of artistes and entertainers within the African entertainment society, promoting the efforts of these role models to African youths.

To showcase and promote African beauty, music, movies and entertainment globally.

To create, sustain and improve the interests and awareness of Africans in the United Kingdom and Ireland, in African entertainment.

Benefit

Our first edition was widely accepted as we sold in excess of 20,000 copies nationwide. We believe that pledging your support to us, by advertising in subsequent editions of Gbedu Magazine, would assist us in achieving our global distinction and both our organisations will continue to grow in unison, and your name image and cause will be portrayed to our target audience of 50 – 100 thousand readers for the next edition.

Distribution and scope

We have a distribution network nationwide, which consists of; London and greater London, home counties, Bolton, Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester, and southern counties; this network was used to distribute our last edition of Gbedu Magazine and will be used for the next, and subsequent editions of Gbedu Magazine. We have plans to increase our distribution network to cover Scotland, Dublin in Ireland, Nigeria, Ghana Sierra Leone and the whole of West Africa.

Working in collaboration

Gbedu Magazine has worked with various organisations and agencies and has been involved with virtually every event in the African entertainment circuit. We continue to work in collaboration with other reputable companies, like yours, to continue to maintain this status.

We covered, supported and sponsored events such as Mr Nigeria 2006, Jeans Carnival 2006, Ghana Independence 2007 and numerous fashion shows and exhibitions. We were also involved in the following events such as the Sierra Leone independence 2007, Jeans Carnival 2007 and the Nigerian Independence 2007 to mention a few.  Furthermore, we interviewed all African artistes, promoters and entertainers that visited the United Kingdom in recent months.
